In the years of being in the serviced apartment and hotel industries, I have received many compliments as well as complaints on the housekeeping standards. That led me to wonder what makes a good, professional cleaner.
Upon checking with travelers round the globe, I have shortlisted a few traits that travelers typically look out for.

Consistency
The first traveler has left and the next traveler will be coming in 3 hours time. There are a few more rooms to clean but so little time.
Some cleaners may try to cut corners and only clean up parts of the apartment. On the other hand, professional cleaners have a clear vision on how they can maximize the time given without compromising on the quality of cleanliness. Together with their vast experiences, professional cleaners could do a wonderful job.
Honesty

Very often, cleaners are given the autonomy to clean the room or even the entire apartment all on their own! While many of us would bring out our valuables, are we really able to keep safe every single item in the house? More often than not, no. It is almost impossible to keep track of the mountains of things we have. However, it is also extremely tedious for you to manage the cleaner over hours of cleaning work. You’ll end up tiring yourself even more. And that is why an honest cleaner plays a very important role. They will give you a peace of mind while they clean your place and provide you more time to focus on your priorities.
Punctuality

As the saying goes, “Time and tide waits for no man”, nobody likes to wait beyond the expected time for the sequel may be insurmountable - plans may be disrupted, credibility may be reduced and so on so forth. Therefore, punctuality is a
nother important trait to look out for. Any person who is punctual shows sign of professionalism and it makes one stand out as a trustworthy and reliable person. It tells that the person has discipline and knows how to plan ahead to arrive on time, and is a dependable and consistent worker since he/she has a sense of urgency to complete the task given before the stipulated time. What’s more, it is a sign of respect to be on time because it shows that your time is valued and respected.
Attentiveness and Initiative

A professional cleaner pays attention to even the slightest detail - be it wiping the underside of your furniture to cleaning a speck of dust found on a corner of the walls, you have got it all covered! In order to leave you a spotless environment, the cleaner will initiate to clean it without you even speaking a word.
With these 5 main traits, you’d never have to worry about getting yourself a speck-less home to live in!
